For many people, the passage of time reduces history to a series of oversimplified images and ideas. We associate the 1950′s with prosperity and conservatism; the 1960′s with social upheaval, experimentation, and war; the 1970′s with self-examination; the 1980′s with prosperity and decadence. How do you think history will reduce the events of your generation? What will people associate with your generation in the future?

Well im going to write about what I think is in store for me an my generation an the up an coming ones. I think my generation is sort of affected by the historical events before us because everything that happen then is effecting us still to this day. for example the wars you know those countries still might not like us an in the future might do something about it. Me personally I don’t care about nothing that happened before me. Im here now living in an over populated, in debt country. If it wasn’t for all the presidents before us an government an stuff, America would be a better place to live, things wouldn’t cost so much. I myself don’t wanna see what the next 50 or 60 years is gonna look like, I know it’s gonna be way worse then it is now.
I think our generation will be know for so many things. for example the lazynees. i think lazyness because know a days all of us stay up late and wake up late. when we are told to do something we take hours doing it because we are so lazy.
Another thing will be cellphones. this gerneration can not live with out cellphones. and its not to call people but the texting. i cant so fast that sometimes i dont even know what iam writing. i can aslo text with out looking because iam so use to texting.
the news up date. know a days we dont watch the news on t.v we look it up on facebook,twitter, google etc. if yew want to know who die, who got married yew can find that in facebook.
video games would be another. i know my little sister comes on from school and right away wants to play her wii all day. iam always playing games on my phone wii 24 7 cant live with out it.
How will we be remembered? Probably since the beginning of time we are always wondering how others will remember us. Wheather, we made a huge step in how the world is now or we were just the neighbor from down the street. We can’t change what generation we are born into but we can always try to be a generation that makes a difference.
My generation as any other generation will be remembered for its good qualities but also its flaws. I know my generation is one of acceptance we are more open-minded to the things we don’t know. We are more open to new things and to change. I grew up a very sheltered child (which I never knew until I got older) but my parents taught me good morals and values. I never knew most of my life about LGBT’s, racism, and sex even I luckly never had to have “the talk” with my parents. Yet as an adult it helped me to accept people of all types. My its the media I don’t know but I have noticed my generation it very accepting of different.
Our generation I think has an upper hand compared to the generations after us at least part of our life we knew how to entertain oursleves without technology. The generation after us will grow up not knowing how to entertain themselves without technology they are very dependent on it. I like that I grew up not have my own cell phone becasue it taught my how to socially connected without it and how to keep myself entertained without having one. I do thank my parents for making my wait and buy my own phone.
I hope my generation won’t be remembered as the generation with no direction or determination. I hope that eventually as we age and mature we will become a generation of hard workers not a bunch of slackers. I want to be in a generation with a bright futurte. Remembered more for its good qualities than its bad qualities.
With each generation we give the world hope for a difference a change. That we will be that change the unknown beyond the horizon. We have the power to make a difference in ourselves and the world we live in. The question is are we going to be that change the hope for the future. In my opinion I think we can.

We turned computers into labtops. We made internet wireless. We made texting.
The way I hope people don’t remember our generation as is lazy. The high ratings on drugs. Also the over weight amout we have.
I’m supposed to be writing about my generation. I’ll be giving examples of what our generation might be known for. Some people might not agree with some of the things I think we will be remembered for.
I think we will be remembered for depending on technology. We use electronics to do things people have been doing on there own for hundreds of years. Things they worked hard on we get on computers, cell phones, calculaters, and many more devices to skip a lot of the reading and research they had to do manually.
Due to all the electronic devices we have I believe it has made us lazy. A lot of us would rather play on computers and other devices rather than outside. We don’t want to read in books to find facts for school we google other peoples answers and are done in less then half the time it used to take people to do there work.
I feel like children and teenagers now are way more disrespectful than they used to be. We talk down to our parents and other elders. Most of us have no respect for anyone and demand respect for ourselves. We get in a lot of fights over simple things that could have easily been avoided if we would stay calm about little things that people do that we do not like.
I hope our generation won’t be known for having bad clothing. Kids now look back at past generations and always make fun of there clothing and hairstyles. Now we think our clothes look good and we’re in style but ten or twenty years ago people will think we look ridiculous.
